A question-and-answer item found in Facebook’s Developers page about its new Subscribe feature reveals that the company will soon allow Twitter updates directly from Facebook. This could spell as another bad news for Google+ which web traffic is declining in the recent weeks.

Facebook will now allow its 750 million registered users to post updates on both its platform and Twitter at the same time. This move will provide more content to Twitter, a social platform of 100 million active users.

To enable Twitter updates via Facebook, the user needs to go to facebook.com/twitter and link the profile page to the Twitter account.

Twitter and other social networking websites such as Facebook are still presently fighting a surge in traffic related to the attack.

Protective measures imposed by Twitter to prevent being knocked offline again has caused issues to 3rd party tools that link to Twitter’s API.

The DDOS attack has been suggested to have been politically motivated aimed at a single user from Georgia. The victim, known to bear the username Cyxymu, uses social media to express views related to tensions between Russia and Georgia.

Chief Research Officer of Internet security firm F-Secure, said “Launching DDoS attacks against services like Facebook is the equivalent of bombing a TV station because you don’t like one of the newscasters.”

The attacks motivated Twitter to work on improving its base infrastructure.

Who would have thought that you can use twitter on the PC game World of Warcraft? Well, guess what, you can.

They have smartly put together the highly social program “Twitter” with one of the most used games of all time: World of Warcraft. This smart program is called TweetCraft, so you go along killing ghouls and goblins, as well as keeping in touch with your friends and the outside world.

So TweetCraft was released on 2nd July, and already has received positive reviews, so if your a fan of the franchise World of Warcraft, visit www.tweetcraft.codeplex.com and hit the download spot.

There’s another useful feature, if your fighting “The Prince of Darkness” and your friend’s just don’t believe you, you just use Twitpic, to screenshot your character in game play. And you can also auto tweet so you show your achievements in the game. So receive tweets in and out of the game.

So as Twitter is growing and growing, and you’ll be seeing these twitter clients get produced all the time, so you will start seeing them in other games and bigger names.

So to round things up, go and try out this new client, to support it and keep it alive, because might just die.

Twitter! Its an everyday social networking site we use, or at least some of us do. While many of us thought that twitter was a hit on the Internet, allowing users to share every little detail of themselves or an event, twitter hasn’t been best at keeping its users online.

With so many competitions such as MySpace and Facebook, will twitter really survive with its only feature being broadcasting status updates and messaging back and forth?

Twitter’s user loyalty problem will have a great impact in its feature success… or failure. With 60% of Twitter’s users not returning until the following month to use Twitter’s service, Twitter is lagging behind Facebook and MySpace.

Now with Facebook also opening its stream to API developers, it now allows any developer to create new applications incorporating the real-time stream of Facebook. With so many Twitter applications using Twitter API stream created for desktop and mobile applications, Facebook has fired back allowing its API stream to be used by any developer, this means new competition for Twitter.

What do you say about Twitter’s future? Does it stand against today’s social networking giants Facebook or MySpace? We will have to wait and see who takes advantage of Facebook’s new API stream and how Twitter will respond back. Until then, Twitter remains head to head with Facebook.
