About Tech Conclave

Tech Conclave is an independent technology news network organization built upon the association of similar-minded technology enthusiasts and geeks from around the world who are passionate to report and discuss technology news in the service of humanity. The organization welcomes people who want to keep abreast with the developments in the field of information and communications technologies, to express their passion, and to participate in tech events with other computer geeks and enthusiasts.

Objectives and Mission

The mission of Tech Conclave is to become a leader and a top provider of quality tech news, unbiased opinions and technology information. The network organization has the following key objectives:

  • To promote honest, timely, and accurate delivery of technology news and related content in any format that the organization deems applicable. That the formation, presentation and discussion of issues shall be dealt accordingly with respect to the established standard principles and ethics of journalism.
  • To encourage citizen journalism, taking advantage of emerging media channels, media formats, and applicable technologies that will enhance the presentation and quality of information reporting.
  • To encourage interested technology enthusiasts to deliver a news presentation, technology-related entertainment, to encourage trustworthy information dissemination, to promote freedom to form an opinion and to participate in honest discussions with its members.
  • To encourage its members to establish camaraderie, respect and tolerance, and exchange of culture and ideas, and to motivate them to meet one another in person.
  • To give recognition to individuals, institutions, and companies that  help promote, bring positive change or make significant developments in the field of information and communication technology.
  • To be involved in the global community in advancing socioeconomic progress and welfare of the people in the name of technology as its social responsibility.

  • Tech Conclave produces shows that help advance the organization’s goals. Its original and flagship tech news show, the Tech Conclave Global Geek News Patrol, has been running since February 2009.
  • Tech Conclave is founded by John Raul Joven II,  and powered by its tech correspondents from different nations since its founding. Its first tech correspondents are Tom Maxwell and Gerardo Velasco.
  • Tech Conclave’s first encounter took place on November 1, 2010,  in Davao City, Philippines, when its founder John Raul met Michael Bowie, a tech correspondent from Brisbane, Australia.
  • Tech Conclave publishes its video shows through its official YouTube channel and on this website. 
  • Tech Conclave has its own Facebook page and Twitter account.

Origin of "Tech Conclave"

The name Tech Conclave was conceived by John Raul as a domain name for a tech community website that offers tech resources – he did not really intend to start a show. When John Raul was thoroughly exposed with podcasting in a show that he co-host with Brad called Tech Webcast, he considered starting a video show or video podcast. As soon as he got this idea, he turned techconclave.com as the show’s name and official website.
